MILK TOFFEE

Instructions

    Prepare a 10 x 8 inches flat non-stick tray or butter the bottom of the tray.

    Empty the can of condensed milk into a non-stick deep pan with sugar and water.

    Cook on low fire stirring consistently for twenty minutes.

  4. 4

    Keep stirring for further three minutes.

  5. 5

    The colour of the milk will start to change.

    When the toffee is nearly ready add the chopped nuts.

    The toffee mixture will double its volume and leave the edges of the pan and roll into a ball.

    Pour the mixture into the prepared tin.

    Spread evenly with a spatula.

    Make a marking in equal portions before it starts to set.

    When the milk toffee is set, cut along the marked lines.

    Cool and store the milk toffee pieces in an airtight container.
