CANNED CORNED MUTTON CURRY

Instructions

    Peel the potato and cut into cubes.

    Boil in two cups water.

  3. 3

    Strain the water and potato in a colander and set aside.

    Cut the corned meat can and flake the meat.

  5. 5

    Heat the oil in a non-stick fry pan.

  6. 6

    Sauté onions, curry leaves, sliced tomatoes and cinnamon (optional) and for a minute.

    Add the flaked corned meat, chilli powder and curry powder.

    Fry for two minutes.

    Finally add lime or lemon juice and cooked the diced potato and mix well.

    Remove from fire.

Cooking Options

  • - The corned meat is already salted. Add salt only if required.
  • - Corned meat could be cooked without potatoes.
  • - If gravy is required add half a cup of water and boil for a minute.

Serving Suggestions

  • - Corned meat dry curry could be used as a filling for sandwiches, toasties (jaffles), pastries, patties, cutlets or rolls
