Instructions

    Heat the oil in a wok or non-stick pan.

    Fry the onions, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, curry leaves and dried or curd chillies for one minute.

    Add the semolina and roast for two minutes.

    Mix the warm water with salt and turmeric in a bowl.

  5. 5

    Add it to the roasted semolina and stir briskly for three minutes.

    The semolina will turn lumpy when cooked.

    Break the lumps with a frying spoon until it looks like pastry crumbs.
