STRING HOPPERS

Instructions

    Boil the water and pour into a pan with oil and salt.

    Place the rice flour in a large bowl, add the hot water and mix the flour into pliable dough.

    The flour should leave the sides of the bowl when mixing and form into a ball for the correct consistency.

    Place the dough into the string hopper mold and squeeze in a circular motion onto the mesh plates.

    Boil three cups of water in a steamer pan.

    Place few mesh plates with the string hopper dough into the steamer.

  7. 7

    Cover and steam for approximately four to five minutes.

    When the string hoppers are well cooked it will not stick to the fingers when touched.

    Remove the steamer from the pan with the cooked string hoppers.

    Remove each string hoppers off the mesh plates and place it into a dish.

    Repeat the process until the mixed dough is finished.
